Where do I get ideas for my content marketing
Many businesses set aside a time for content marketing each week but then waste valuable time and energy trying to come up with ideas for a blog post, podcast or video. In many cases, it results in less content being produced or the proposed strategy breaking down.
A better system is to sign up to a notes app like Evernote, and create a tag called “Upcoming Content” or designate a whole notebook to future blog topics. That way, you can list ideas as they arise during the week, meaning you will always have topics at the ready when you sit down to create content (and you won’t forget any great ideas).
If you have a support team or reception at your business, ask them to add questions that being asked all the time by customers and prospects – by phone, email and in person. If you are writing detailed answers to product enquiries on email, look through your sent mail to see if you can turn any of them into new posts that will help your other customers and attract new visitors to your site who are searching for similar questions.
Another popular content category is to report on news in your industry. Make a note of articles and links that are relevant to your customer list. Then you can easily create your own branded content that reports on the news like a media company, but demonstrates your point of view.
